Message from the Skies, Shorelines
Ten Thousand Miles of Edge written by Robin Robertson. Message from the Skies illuminated Scotland's Year of Coasts and Waters with the captivating theme of Shorelines. Our contribution, set against the iconic backdrop of the Nelson Monument on Calton Hill, was a fusion of creative visual storytelling, literary prowess, and musical finesse. Teaming up with the acclaimed author Robin Robertson and renowned musician Alasdair Roberts, we wove a rich tapestry of narrative and sound, creating a deeply meaningful and emotionally resonant artwork. Using projection mapping techniques, the building projections were a collaborative effort that seamlessly intertwined the words of five esteemed writers with Edinburgh's iconic landmarks. Message from the Skies was produced for Edinburgh’s Hogmanay.
