Artists’ interview : Four hundred in a frame


We were delighted to win the open competition to create an installation celebrating 400 years of the Sasine Register. The installation represents a 400 year timeline and forms the land mass of Scotland. Etched onto the coloured, transparent plates are the pages of The Sasine Register, each panel is engraved with script taken from registers that correlate with that period in time. In this way, the Sasine Register and it’s rich history is honoured in this beautiful installation.
